_How Supermarcado DIA digitized in-store order auditing with Moki
DIA Supermarket is part of one of the largest food retail groups in Brazil. Recognized for its neighborhood supermarket model, the chain operates with high merchandise turnover, a focus on operational efficiency, and strong cost control.
DIA operates with company-owned and franchised stores, serving hundreds of consumers daily. The complexity of the operation demands well-defined processes, especially in receiving goods, where precision and traceability are fundamental to ensuring inventory accuracy, reducing losses, and maintaining product availability in stores.
It was in this context of high operational demands that DIA Supermarket began digitizing its in-store order auditing with Moki.

Before adopting Moki, auditing of incoming orders in stores was a completely manual process, done on paper and based only on visual checks, without barcode scanning.
There was no structured system in place to ensure audits were actually being performed, nor was there visibility or traceability regarding what had been correctly received.
Errors such as missing items, product swaps, and incorrect deliveries were not reliably recorded, making it difficult to track issues and directly impacting:

The process was slow, error-prone, and lacked operational governance. As the operation grew, it became necessary to evolve to a standardized, digital, and traceable in-store auditing model.

_The solution
In February 2025, Supermercado DIA launched the rollout of its In-Store Order Auditing System using Moki.
The new process became 100% digital, performed directly on the smartphones already used by staff, eliminating the need to invest in new equipment.
By entering the order number in the app, the employee automatically accesses the product list and performs the audit by scanning each box’s barcode using the phone’s camera.
Validation occurs in real-time with simple, intuitive visual signals:

Green
Correct product, correct quantity.
Yellow
Quantity discrepancy (shortage or substitution)
Red
Product not included in the order.
Grey
Product from the order not found during the audit.
The entire process is recorded with full traceability, instant visibility for both store and management, and a reliable history for future analysis.
